This multi-generational family home incorporates principles of Vastu Shastra, an ancient Hindu design system, to influence the spatial organization of the home and to harmonize the building with natural and cosmic energies, promoting health and well-being. Once the diagram of spaces was established, the plan was then further manipulated to respond to the client’s site. The design also highlights a centralized courtyard that seamlessly extends the main living and dining areas, while also facilitating passive ventilation.
